And he (Jesus) said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed him. (Matthew 4:19-20 ESV)

Do you know this call of Jesus is also for us to become “fishers of men.” You and me are God’s chosen way to spread and share hope to a broken world. This means JESUS wants to use you and me to build HIS Kingdom.

Do you also know that there are many ways to fish? A way to be “fishers of men” is to invite others to worship at Grace Church. Now there are many other ways, and this one of many ways. My prayer is that we will strive to become a community that cultivates a culture of invitation at Grace Church. This means we regularly, consistently, and prayerfully invite others to attend worship on Sunday mornings with us.

Along with this is that we also continually build into our DNA a culture of prayer and fasting (we will learn more about this in the weeks to come). God desires us to be intentional and have a sense of urgency surrounding HIS Gospel. A way is to invite other to Grace Church.

I have included a link by a mentor church of Grace and the pastor has poured into me as well. They strived to cultivate this culture of invitation and the Lord blessed them. They became and are becoming “fishers of men” and Jesus is blessing them and HIS kingdom is being built. You can read this short article here: A Culture of Invitation

So what can you do this Sunday:

1. Pray for who are going to invite.
2. Pray for us to cultivate this culture @ Grace Church
3. Invite someone to Grace Church
4. If you have not been in a while – I personally invite you now to join us @ 11am this Sunday

I know that the Lord has amazing things in store for us at Grace Church. As we step forward in faith I am reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 16:18 “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Jesus will build HIS church! We are faithful to the message – and we trust HIM for the results!
