Summer Wrap-Up

It has been a busy summer, and because of that http://www.baldheadbruce.com has been a little bit neglected. Now that summer is winding down, I am looking back and giving thanks to Christ for a great summer.

The biggest lesson I learned is wrapped around my vacation over the week of July 4. Because of my engine blew in my car, we were unable to go on our planed vacation. So we stayed home instead. It was the best vacation I have ever had. We intentionally “unplugged” for a week and enjoyed each other. The lesson is this, why do we need a vacation to do this. We need to be challenged everyday to do the following:

  • Unplug cell phones, tabs, and computers on a regular basis.
  • Spend time reading and learning.
  • Spend time in Scripture.
  • Spend time enjoying your kids and spouse.

We don’t need a vacation to do the following, we just need to decide to do it and follow-through. Have I done this the whole summer – no way because I am a work in progress. But with God’s help and dedication, I am working on it. My prayer is that you will too.
