Well, I have not gave any reflections the last couple of weeks so I am going to try to get 2 Sunday’s in one shot. All I can say is the last 2 Sunday’s have been awesome! If you have not come, you have really missed out. We are right in the middle of Grace Church 40 Days of Community sermon series.
Sunday November 1, 2015
We learned what it really means to grow together in community. Its not about head knowledge of the bible, but how we live out our faith as God reveals himself in and through HIs word! We grow as we commit to not throw in the towel with Jesus, but press in and allow Him to stretch us. We have to have a tall AND deep faith, so that when the storms of life come we can be found firm in our faith. Bottom line is that we need to know what we believe and why we believe it. We then had our quarterly Discovery Sunday in the evening. I love it when we connect with each other to learn and grow during these times. I usually teach CLASS 101: Discovering Church Membership and this was one of the best times teaching this class. I am so excited to see what Jesus is going to do in and through those who attended this class. You can watch the sermon here:

We learned what it means to take up the basin and the towel and serve others as a way of life. Several people come forward giving of themselves to service to Jesus Christ. I made a mental note and I am looking forward to seeing how The Lord is going to use these people in amazing ways as they commit to wash the feet of the disciples. Now I know there are some, who Christ was working in their hearts but they didn’t come forward. Those people are going to be an amazing surprise to the whole Grace Family. Now there is a challenge for everyone to discover their SHAPE. Basically it is a discovery process for you to leant and discover your:
- Spiritual Gifts
- Heart
- Abilities
- Personality
- Experiences
You can download the SHAPE Inventory here. You can fill out the last page and then send it to the church office. The goal and vision is for 100% of the Grace Family to serve in 100% of the ministry. This is a step into us living into what we are calling The Big 3. The Big 3 is what a fully connected person commits to at Grace Church. Begin fully connected, you commit to:
- Connected in Worship (worship attendance at least 3 times a month)
- Connected in a Group (committing to a Connect Group)
- Connected in Service (looking outside yourself to serve the body)
With this series, I truly believe we are laying the foundation for God to continue to do amazing things in and through us at Grace. So, I can’t wait to see everybody this Sunday.
