I came to a point in my life a couple of months ago that I need to live the rest of my life with more intentionality. I am not satisfied with the status quo any more. I desire to be more effective for Jesus Christ not only in the world, but also in my own family. During this time, I cam across a picture of “Successful People” (I wrote more about a couple of days ago).
Then the scripture that kept ringing in my heart was Proverbs 16:9 “The heart of man plans his way, but The LORD establishes his steps.” I know that it is Jesus Christ that will determine my steps, but if I choose to not take any steps anywhere. Well…… I think you get my point. Bottom line is that if I aim at nothing, I am going to hit every time. I am also going to waste a lot of time and energy in that process.
During the 21 Day Fast, this is one of the main things I committed to prayer for myself. Several things on my list have been churning in my heart for years and I needed to put them in writing, prayer over them, and move forward with them. It also came to a point that if I didn’t do this, I would be walking in disobedience to Jesus Christ. It says in James 4: 17 “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.” So if I didn’t move forward with these, I knew I would be sinning.
So I laid my heart before Christ with these. I prayed over and over (and continue to d0 so) Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do, in word ad deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
So here they are. Some may mock, some will say I am wrong, and some will be encouraged. I hop you are one that is encouraged. Encouraged to stop living life status quo and live life for Jesus Christ with clarity. As you read these, some will just seem silly, but we are to have fun in life too. A lot are very serious though. I don’t know if I will reach all these goals. But one thing is certain, I am going to try my hardest with the strength of The Lord.
